This special meter was methodically designed with help from National Blind Associations as well as Certified
Diabetes Educators. It offers powerful features like totally audible step-by-step setups that will “talk” the user
through all the meter settings, such as time and date & glucose unit of measurement, without any help from
anyone else.
This Meter requires NO-Coding which means fewer steps and eliminates coding errors. Simply insert the test strip
into the port on the top of the meter. The glucose meter automatically turns on and uses voice prompts to walk the
user through the testing steps; making it easy to use, while providing safe accurate test results every time.
It is Totally audible. The user will hear step-by-step set up intstructions, & hear their test results in just
six seconds with time and date, memory and error codes.
Tactile features allow vision impaired users to “feel” and locate the different buttons easily. The buttons have
raised imprints enabling you to easily identify the buttons by touch.
One of its best features is the “Repeat” button. As implied this feature allows the user to repeat the last message
or test result at the touch of a button.
To top it off the device has a built in memory that can store up to 450 test results with date and time. It audibly
gives 7, 14, 21, 28, 60, and 90 day averages. These stored audible tests may also be downloaded to a Personal
Computer for ongoing Data Management. The FREE software allows simple downloading of test results allowing
you and your Diabetes healthcare professional to track changes in your blood glucose levels over time.
And you will be relieved to know you have the option to test from your palms, forearms, upper-arms, thighs and
calves; which have fewer nerve endings than your fingertips.
Smaller Blood Samples are Required by this unit too. It only takes a six-tenths microliter drop of blood – smaller
than most meters available today. Allowing you to use extra-fine gauge lancets and significantly reduce pain.
